With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Georgia Jones of Boone, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 15, 2026 at the age of 84. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Georgia Jones to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Smitherman and Elfa Greene Smitherman; her husband Bobby Ray Jones, Sr.; her sisters, Cornelia Miller and Erie Winkler; and her siblings-in-law, Mabel Brown, Iva Lee Hayes, Stella Jones, Joann Moretz, Brenda Gragg, Clyde, Lester, Chester and Kenneth Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Anita Fogle (Shawn) of Lenoir, Kyra Jones (Ricky Sheets) of North Wilkesboro and Bobby Jones, Jr. (Meredith) of Boone; her grandchildren, Derek Calhoun (Katie) of Fleetwood, Brandon Calhoun (Anna) of Fleetwood, Cameron Fogle of Boone, Brock of Boone, Bowen of Boone and Baylon Jones of Boone; her great grandchildren, Grayson and Colson Calhoun of Fleetwood; and her sister-in-law Marie Jones of Boone. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family requests no flowers and, in lieu of, memorials may be may made to the Boone Advent Christian Church Youth Group and/or the Women's Home & Foreign Mission Society in care of BACC, PO Box 2515, Boone, North Carolina 28607.
