He was predeceased by: his parents, Mack Edward Dishman and Mary Sue Eggers Dishman; and his niece Katina Dishman. He is survived by: his wife Deanie Dishman; his children, Eric Dishman of Zionville, NC, Dawn Dishman-Flaherty of Zionville, NC and Lora Dishman-Wentz (Elliott Wentz) of Greensboro, NC; his grandchildren, Cyrus Wentz of Washington, D. C., Mason Wentz of Wilmington, NC, Etta Wentz of Boone, NC and Bridget Flaherty of Raleigh, NC.; his brother Eddie; his sister-in-law Kathy Dishman; his niece Lisa Totherow (Chris Totherow); his nephew Preston Dishman; and his great-niece Addison Totherow.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mabel United Methodist Church (5932 Old US Hwy 421, Zionville, NC 28698). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations may be made to the Mabel United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.
