It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gretchen Martin of Boone, North Carolina, born in Troy, Ohio, who passed away on December 30, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Earl William Henslee and Margaret Pauline Prosser Henslee.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shawneehaw Volunteer Fire Department or to the Watauga Humane Society.
