It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gwenda Holaday of Boone, North Carolina, who passed away on December 15, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gwenda Holaday to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Rhuel Roosevelt and Sallie Lovette Hayes; her son-in-law Clayton Dale Dills; and her brothers, Archie Hayes and Bill Hayes.

She is survived by : her husband Lynn Edward Holaday; her children, Sarah Dills of Wilkesboro and Nathan Holaday (Cheryl) of Bowling Green, KY; her grandchildren, Tara Rueckert (Justin), Ethan Holaday (Sixtine) and Grayson Holaday; her great grandchildren, Warren Rueckert and Berenger Holaday; and her sisters, Wanda Oliver of West Jefferson and Shelby Reeves of Millers Creek.
