She was predeceased by : her parents, Mamie McAdams and Mark Jackson (late John Gay Young, Sr.); her sibling Lala M Grimes; and her grandchild Sherrill "Lea" Whittington. She is survived by : her brother Grady S. Jackson; her children, John G. Young of Kingsport, TN and Rosemarie Young-Amado (Carlos Amado) of New Bedford, MA.; her grandchildren, John Whittington of Boone, Lori Young-Woods (Micheal) of Ashville, NC, Nate Young (Buffy) of Clemmons, NC and Aisha Amado of New Bedford, MA.; her great grandchildren, Micheal Woods II (Amanda), Matthew Woods, Aaron Whittington, Makayla Lopes, Zachary, Gabriel, Maxwell Young, Haley Young-Ferreira (Ernesto), Alana Vargas (Angelo) and Amaya Amado; and her great great grandchildren, Mateo Vargas, Ayden and Iyla Woods. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and close relatives.
