She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Oxentine and Lizzie Oxentine; her husband Edsel Jackson; and her siblings, Robert, Ernest, Hayden, Eva, Ethel, Cora and Betty.
She is survived by: her children, Dwight Jackson (Reta) and Teresa Lawley (Matthew); her grandchildren, Josh Lawley (Amber), Jacob Lawley (Allison), Jackson Lawley (Emily), Derek Cox (Laura), Adam Miller (Kim) and Ashlee Sasser (Holt); her great grandchildren, Brooklyn Lawley, Skyelyn Lawley, Jordan Lawley, Victoria Castillo, Mattie Lawley, Edsel Lawley, Gabriel Lawley, Geneva Lawley, Cayden Cox, Cooper Cox, Chany Miller and Riley Sasser; and her sisters, Allie Wagner (Charles) and Charlotte Cook. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Austin & Barnes Chapel (194 Queen St, Boone, NC 28607). A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
