It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice Marie Long of Boone, North Carolina, born in Petersburg, Virginia, who passed away on August 20, 2022, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Long; and her sister Linda Sawyer Trivette. She is survived by: her son Michael Long; her siblings, Myra Wilkerson (Ron), Georgia McLean (Joey), John R. Sawyer, Jr. (Donna) and Robert Sawyer (Heather); her brother-in-law Gary Trivette; and her niece Myranda Trivette. She is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to your local Human Society in honor of her love of animals.
