He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Carroll and Cleo Johnson Carroll. He is survived by: his wife Sybil Van Dyke Carroll; his daughter Amy Carroll of Shelby; and his siblings, Joanne Lewis of Shelby, Linda Leibow (Saul) of Buckeye, AZ and Johnny Carroll (Jerel Dean) of Morganton. He is also survived by one niece; four nephews; six great- great-nephews; and one great-great niece.
