She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Briggs and Annie Lee Badgett Briggs; her husband Charles M; her sisters, Ellen Howell, Nancy Briggs and Jean Black; and her daughter-in-law Pam S Stokes.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Stokes Jr. (Mac) and Sharon Stokes Wilson (Jeff) of Greenville; her grandchildren, Charles Stokes III (Holton) of New Bern, Callie W Leyva (Phil) of Greenville, Linden Stokes of Boone and Grant Wilson of Raleigh; and her great grandchildren, Stoke Leyva and AJ Leyva.
