He was predeceased by: his mother Helen Elizabeth Maltba Shore; his grandson Darryl Roark, Jr.; and his siblings, Claude Shore, Martha Donaldson and Vickie Baker.
He is survived by: his wife Katie Bentley Shore; his children, David Voit Shore (Melissa) of Boone, JoEllen Carpenter (Mike) of Arlington, VA, Lisa Roark (Darryl) of Iron Station and Leigh Messenger of St. Petersburg, FL; his grandchildren, Tyler, Nevin Shore of Boone, Lucas Clawson (Ashley) of Wilmington, DE, Kristina and Jenny Messenger of Riverdale Park; and his sister Mary Hagaman (Cecil) of Zionville.
