He is survived by: his wife Mary Doris Trivette Greer; his children, Brenda McClain (Larry) and Allan Greer (Stephanie) of Newland; his grandchildren, Chelsea Long (Tyler) of Hudson, Florida, Laci McClain (Christian Laughridge) of Florida, Reagan Greer (Bob), Barrett Pruess (Sharina) of Michigan and Zack Greer (Ciara) of Lenoir; his siblings-in-law, Betty Greer, Ethel Greer, Juanita Miller, Marilyn Watson, Evilyn Hicks, Barbara Ashley, Phyllis Trivette, Martha Greer, Joel Weaver and Roy Miller; and his great grandchild Julia Claire Pruess.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Proffit's Grove Baptist Church (306 Oak Grove Rd, Boone, NC 28607). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Proffitt's Grove Baptist Church (306 Oak Grove Rd, Boone, NC 28607).
