Kathy Proffitt Taylor Obituary

We are sad to announce that on December 24, 2022, at the age of 69, Kathy Proffitt Taylor of Boone, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Cless Proffitt and Virginia Winebarger Proffitt; her husband Jimmy Taylor; her siblings, Lydia Ann Proffitt and Dennis Ray Proffitt; her brother-in-law John Taylor; and her parents-in-law, Ford and Dorothy Taylor.

She is survived by : her stepson Jerry Taylor (Rick) of Mooresville; her siblings, Joe Proffitt (Joyce) of Boone, Keith Proffitt of Boone, Elaine Greer of Boone and Irene Norris of Boone; her brother-in-law Joe Taylor (Wanda) of Boone; her nieces and nephews, Sherri Farmer of Boone, Toni Dishman (Ronnie) of Boone, Jennifer Proffitt of Boone, Joanna Wayt (Chuck) of Lansing, Greg Greer (Abbey) of Boone, John Taylor (Kimberly) of Foscoe and Dylan Proffitt; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Brandon Farmer (Kristin), Michael Dyer, Arron Taylor, Chloe Wayt, Jaxon Wayt, Justin Dishman (Tammy), Mason Dishman and Elija Brown; her friend Belva McGlamery; her son Gerald Wayne Huff; her caregivers, Kathy Hayes and Linda Winebarger; and her cousin Donna Miller. She is also survived by several aunts, uncle and cousins.
