Larry Tester Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 12, 2025, at the age of 88, Larry Tester (Boone, North Carolina) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Larry Tester to pay them a last tribute.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Larry shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Larry farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ted Woodrow and Edith Anderson Tester; and his wife Mary Lee Winebarger Tester. He is survived by: his children, Doug Tester (Greta) of Zionville, Debbie Reese (Butch) of Vilas and Paula Hall (Ron) of Vilas; and his close friends, Hal Anderson and Mildred Glenn. He is also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Tester Family Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials may be made to the Lewis Hal Anderson Jr. Scholarship Fund, in care of Hal Anderson, 347 Hodges Gap Road, Boone, NC 28607.
