In loving memory of Loretta Lee Bumgarner of Boone, North Carolina, who departed this world on December 10, 2025 at the age of 88. Loretta leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roma Campbell and Lina Campbell of Lenoir; and her brothers, Conrad Lee Campbell and Rex Douglas Campbell. She is survived by: her sons, Mark D. Bumgarner of Lenoir and Tracy N. Bumgarner of Lenoir; her grandchildren, Sara, Matthew Huskins of Matthews, NC, Kate, Andrew and Ben Bumgarner of Weaverville, NC; her sister Polly Campbell Craig; and her close friends, Phil, Candace Norman and Chris Fritton. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Evans Funeral Home (1070 Taylorsville Rd SE, Lenoir, NC 28645). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 21st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
