With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lucy Earp Hayes of Boone, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 21, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Earp and Blanche Danner Earp; her husband Howard Dean Hayes; and her brother Ray Earp. She is survived by: her children, Janet Hayes of Lenoir, Sharon Hodges (Jamey) of Boone and Mylon Hayes (Wendy) of Hudson; and her grandchildren, Kennedy Hayes of Hudson, Lucy Elaine Hodges of Boone, Toby Haas of Hickory, Conner Hayes of Hudson, Bailey Hayes of Hudson, Tory Haas of Lenoir and Jameson Hodges of Boone.
