She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Winkler and Irene Davis Winkler; and her brother Charles Winkler. She is survived by: her husband Richard E. Hudson; her children, Ricky Hudson (Kristen) of Lenoir, Eric Hudson of Boone and Jenny Miller of Wilkesboro; her grandchildren, Skylee Miller, Trey, Seth Hudson, Colt Hudson and Sage Miller (Mary Grace); and her brother Tony Winkler (Peggy) of North Wilkesboro.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Boone (375 W King St, Boone, NC 28607). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 2:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at the TBD Mount Lawn Memorial Park (521 Old East King St, Boone, NC 28607).
