He is survived by: his fiancée Betsy Keith of Marietta, Georgia; his children, David Tanigawa (Alyssa) of Morganton and Susan Saule (Eric) of Lenoir; his brother Carl Tanigawa (Helen) of Pearl City, Hawaii; and his siblings-in-law, Donna Tanigawa of Honolulu, Hawaii, Edward Goodwin of Taylors and Janice Burdge of Boone. He is also survived by aunties and uncles in Hawaii, numerous cousins, his wonderful nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Alliance Bible Fellowship (1035 North Carolina Hwy 105 Bypass, Boone, NC 28607).
