She was predeceased by: her parents, Ed Shoemake and Blanche Shoemake; her brother Bill Shoemake; and her brothers-in-law, Dr. Ronnie Milligan and Kenny Sloan.
She is survived by: her husband Walter Lewis; her son Jeff Winkler (Sonya); her grandchildren, Hannah Hartzog, Holden Hartzog (Laiken) and Jacob Winkler; and her siblings, Patricia Shoemake, Debbie Sloan, Mary Miller, Betty Milligan and Bob Shoemake (Evelyne Greene).
A graveside service was held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Meat Camp Baptist Church (236 Meat Camp Baptist Church Rd, Boone, NC 28607).
