We are sad to announce that on May 11, 2026, at the age of 73, Mark Glenn Ford of Boone, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Mark departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Mark may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Mark leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Glenn Ford and Brooke Stanbery Ford; and his sisters, Rebecca Ford Barkley and Marian Jean Ford. He is survived by: his wife Gail Lentz Ford; his daughter Erin Ford Patterson (John); and his granddaughter Lauren Patterson of Boone. He is also survived by nephew and several nieces.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Laurel Springs Baptist Church (235 Laurel Fork Church Rd, Boone, NC 28607).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Laurel Springs Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or to Laurel Springs Baptist Church Children's Ministry, 7504 US-421, Deep Gap, NC 28618.
