She was predeceased by: her parents, Lula Elizabeth HatleyTownsend and William Poley Townsend; her husband David Carl Townsend; and her siblings, Blanche "Birdie" Townsend, Olive Sounder, Anna Townsend, Lois McSwain and Lloyd "Red" Townsend.
She is survived by: her sons, Ronnie Len Townsend (Kim) and Donnie William Townsend (Cheryl); and her brother William Ralph Townsend.
