In the sacred silence of farewell, Nan is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Nan's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ronald Ragan and Edna Caroline Greene Ragan; her husband Dick; and her siblings, Barbara Eggers and Bill Ragan.
She is survived by: her caregiver Janta Winkler (Lee); her granddaughter Ann of Boone; and her sisters, Mary Bryant of Boone and Brenda Phillips (James) of Ocala, Florida..
The family respectfully requests no food or flowers, and suggests memorials be made to Doe Ridge Baptist Church, in care of Orbie Glenn, 4486 Howards Creek Road, Boone, NC 28607 or to the Skyland Cemetery Fund in care of Rita Ragan, 186 Ragan-Culler Road, Boone, NC 28607.
