He is survived by: his siblings, Katie Shore of Blowing Rock, Brenda Cornett (R. A.) of Vilas and Sam Bentley (Betty) of Vilas; his children, Kaye Bentley (Sue) of Asheville, Frayne Bentley (Rose) of Auburn, Georgia and Joe Bentley (Shelley) of West Jefferson; and his grandchildren, Beatrice, Carley and Kelton.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel (683 Blowing Rock Rd, Boone, NC 28607). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks considering a donation to St. Judes Children's Hospital, a charity that Ned believed in and supported.
