It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Norma Jean Bumgarner Wilcox of Boone, North Carolina, who passed away on November 17, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Pansy Bumgarner of Boone and Tom Bumgarner; and her husband Dempsey Lee "Firebug" Wilcox Jr. (Norma). She is survived by: her children, Debra Lee Wilcox and Dempsey Lee Wilcox III; her grandchildren, Mary Grey Wilcox and Ivy Wilcox Church; her siblings, Judy Psillas and Thomas Charles "Buzz" Bumgarner; her nieces and nephews, Vicki Odmunson, Patrick Huffman, Leslie Bumgarner and Cameron Bumgarner; and her close friend Bill Lovelace. She is also survived by three children.

The family respectfully requests those attending to wear a mask and observe social distancing.
