She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Hayes and Nellie Edmisten Hayes; her husband Donald Gordon'Don'Carson; and her sisters, Helen Cobb and Margaret Norris.
She is survived by: her sons, Michael Wayne Carson of Boone and Johnny Carson (Amy) of Boone; her grandchildren, Jacob Carson of Boone and Darcy Carson of Charlotte; her nephews, Richard and Anthony Hester; and her brother Ed.
