It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel Austin Moretz (Boone, North Carolina), who passed away on November 23, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Moretz and Jessie Moretz; and his son-in-law David Greene. He is survived by: his wife Carol Ann Moretz; his children, Terri Greene of Charlotte and Tim Moretz (Selena); his grandchildren, Damon, Derek and Dayna Moretz; his son Tom Moretz (Gale); his grandchildren, Matthew Moretz and Emily Hicks of Mountain City, TN; his daughter Jennifer Bailey (Chad) of Conover, NC; and his sister Barbara Moretz (John).
