She was predeceased by: her parents, Curtis Franklin and Mattie Pearl Winters Evans; her husband James Donald "Curly" Nicks; and her brothers, Tildon Evans, Wayne Evans, Harold Evans and Roger Evans.
She is survived by: her children, Chris Nicks (Cammy), Teresa Nicks Blevins and Susan Nicks Holbrook; her grandchildren, Matthew Groce, Ashley Groce, Kristin Nicks Lovelace (Nick), Houston Nicks (Carla), Silas Holbrook and Sterlin Holbrook; her great grandchildren, Jax Lovelace, Ayla Nicks and Camryn Nicks; her siblings, Gay Swisher, Brenda Sue Hudson (Benny) and Ray Evans; and her sisters-in-law, Kay Pardue (Roger) and Jane Nicks Roof. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
