She was predeceased by: her parents, John "Frank" Brown and Treva Vestal Brown; her husband Miles "Ray" Whitaker; and her siblings, Sue Pettit, Bernard Brown and Paul Brown.
She is survived by: her sons, Michael Whitaker (Joyce) and Barry Whitaker (Angie); her grandchildren, Jeremy Whitaker (Jill), Erin Willard (Donnie Ray), Karie Matthews (Josh) and Emily Payne (Lucas); her great grandchildren, Jayce Whitaker, Julie Whitaker, Jaelyn Whitaker and Brooklynn Matthews; her stepgreat-grandchildren, McKinley Willard and Paisley Willard; her sisters-in-law, Odessa Brown and Patty Harrison; and her close friend Barbara Gentry. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and other family members.
