She is survived by: her mother Jean Holbrook Bates; her children, Emory Casstevens (Kristy), Nicholas "Nick" Casstevens and Heather Howard (Brian); her grandchildren, Kassey Casstevens, Wyatt Casstevens, Brynlee Casstevens, Carson Casstevens and Emma Howard; her great grandchild Wendi Casstevens; and her siblings, David Bates (Ann) and Jo Anne Bates.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the North Oak Ridge Baptist Church (2504 N Oak Ridge Church Rd, Boonville, NC 27011).
