She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas R. Killian (Jewel Burgin McWilliams) and Marleita; her husband Joel William Kaufman; and her brother Timothy "Tuff" Killian. She is survived by: her son Alan "A. J." Herrick, Jr. of Hickory; her sister Kimberly Phillips (Larry) of Bostic; her stepson Troy Kaufman of Hudson; and her granddaughter Maddy Kaufman of Hudson.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Mackie Funeral Service (35 Duke St, Granite Falls, NC 28630).
