She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert Lovelace and Maggie Hardin Lovelace; her son Ray Colon Murray; and her siblings, Edward Lovelace, Ronnie Lovelace, Yvonne Greene and Sandra Graul.
She is survived by: her husband James Colon Murray; her children, Olon Murray (Kim) of Boiling Springs, NC and Wanda Hodge (Brian) of Bostic; and her grandchildren, CJ Murray (Kelly) and Brad Murray (Brynleigh). She is also survived by six great granddaughters and three great grandsons.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Padgett & King Mortuary (227 E Main St, Forest City, NC 28043). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Padgett & King Chapel (227 E Main St, Forest City, NC 28043).
