He was predeceased by: his parents, Dessie Hopper and Claude Hopper; and his siblings, Eddie, Ricky Hopper, Faye Greene and Judy Day.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Hopper; his children, Lee Hopper-Adams (Jacob) of Decatur, AL and Scott Hopper (Kristin) of Bostic, NC; his sister Linda Harris of Forest City, NC; and his grandchildren, Evan Hopper, Henry Adams, Jack Adams and Emilia Hopper.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Rutherford County Schools Education Foundation, 382 West Main Street, Forest City, North Carolina 28043.
