Leon Green Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 29, 2025, at the age of 66, Leon Green of Brasstown, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent Medford Green. He is survived by: his mother Gladys Green of Brasstown; his daughter Stacy Van Buskirk; his son-in-law Nathaniel Van Buskirk of Brasstown; his grandchildren, Zella, Noah and Remington Van Buskirk of Brasstown; his siblings, Sarah Sudderth of Brasstown, Richard Green of Brasstown and Mary Henderson; his siblings' children, Greg Sudderth of Brasstown, Jennifer Green of Winston-Salem, Vanessa Long of Franklin, Crystal Lovingood of Murphy and Haley Henderson of Franklin; and also Darrell of Franklin.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel of Murphy (4334 US-64, Murphy, NC 28906). A burial will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hickory Stand United Methodist Church Cemetery (16 Hickory Stand Ln, Brasstown, NC 28902).
