It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Ann Douglas of Brevard, North Carolina, who passed away on November 2, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Barbara Ann shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Barbara Ann farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Fredrick Richard Hoffman and Bernice Hausmann Hoffman; and her son Bret James Douglas. She is survived by: her husband James K. Douglas; her sons, Brian Keith Douglas (Ellen) and Bruce Norman Douglas (Val); her grandchildren, Lindsay, Derek, Erin and Eliott; and her great grandchild Nolan. She is also survived by her family, particularly her grandchildren and great-grandson.

“Barbara was my sister-in-law and aunt to my children. She was always caring and interested in all that we were doing. She never missed sending a card to celebrate someone's birthday or a special occasion. She was always there to help whenever there was a need. Barbara's family were central to her life and deeply loved. She had many friends from her school years and maintained a close relationship with them all her life. She has left many beautiful memories and will be dearly missed. Judy”
