With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara J. Smart-Smith in Brevard, North Carolina, born in Morganton, North Carolina, who passed away on May 28, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Barbara farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Barbara is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (325 N Broad St, Brevard, NC 28712). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
