Barbara Janowitz Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Janowitz of Brevard, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 22, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Barbara leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Barbara may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Kantrowitz and Dorothy Kantrowitz; and her husband Jerry. She is survived by: her son David (Hope); her grandchildren, JJ of Pisgah Forest, NC and Sam of Pisgah Forest, NC; and her sisters, Diane, Lois and Harriet.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donation be made to The Cindy Platt Boys & Girls Club of Transylvania County.
