He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Owen and Mae Galloway Owen; his son Jonathan Owen; his brothers, James Owen and Winfred "Toby" Owen; and his siblings-in-law, Joe Osteen, Lionel Jones, June Owen and Faye Owen.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Owen; his children, Kelly Dodson (Jamie), Brent Owen and Dane Owen; his grandchildren, Kaylin Owen, Ashlyn Dodson, Bailey Owen, Matthew Dodson, Kaidance Owen and Zoey Owen; and his siblings, Lloyd Owen (Jackie), Dennis Owen (Stacy), Agnes Osteen, Helen McMahan (Auzel "Wimpy") and Doris Jones. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
