He is survived by: his wife Patricia Moore Mackey; his children, DaTresa Davis (Larry) of Cheraw, SC, Linda Mackey of Brevard, NC, Gale Mackey, Jr. (Trentha) of Lake Toxaway, NC and April Douglas (Nigel) of Brevard, NC; his grandchildren, Courtney, Ernest, Corey, Aubrey and Keelan; his great grandchildren, Zion, Ameris and Adonis; his sister Linda McCants of Brevard, NC; his sisters-in-law, Diane Moore and Josephine Charlton; his aunt Rose McKee; and his cousin LeTitia Robinson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
