We are sad to announce that, on December 18, 2025, at the age of 79, Helen Hathaway Freedman of Brevard, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Chuck Hathaway and Kay Hathaway; and her daughter Andrea DaBrescia. She is survived by: her husband Emanuel Freedman of Brevard, NC; her children, Catherine Wakefield of New York, NY, Joseph DaBrescia (Michele) of Corolla, N. C and Jacqueline DaBrescia Torres (Gabe Labb) of Hendersonville, N. C.; her stepson David Freedman (Marissa); her siblings, Carol MacMaster of Equinunk and Sam Hathaway (Ellen) of Mountain City, Texas.; and her grandchildren, Caleb Barnes (Amy), Zachary DaBrescia (Alexis), Matthew DaBrescia (Preston), Linnea DaBrescia (Dakota), Alex Torres, Eli Torres, Will, Tess, Drew, Grey Wakefield, Bryant, Phoenix and Sebastian Freedman. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
