It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Carroll Jones of Brevard, North Carolina, born in Jackson, North Carolina, who passed away on September 29, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Nelson and Beulah Owen Jones; and his brother Henry Lionel Jones. He is survived by: his wife Frances Rogers Jones; his grandsons, Alex Bigelow and Max Bigelow (Melanie); his sisters, Velma Hawkins, Olivene Lyday and Anna Lou Owen; and his sister-in-law Doris Jones.
He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and enjoyed the Cathey's Creek Baptist Church radio ministry during the COVID pandemic.
