She was predeceased by: her parents, Clinton Henry and Marjorie Henry. She is survived by: her son Wayne; her grandsons, Bradley and Tyler; and her pet Buddy.
Joan continued working as a flight attendant for United, commuting to Chicago a few times a month to work flights to China until 2020, when she retired during the pandemic.
