He was predeceased by: his mother Nola McCrary; and his siblings, Willard McCrary, Bobby McCrary and Ruth McCraw. He is survived by: his wife Debbie McCrary; his daughter Miranda; his son-in-law Wes Pierson; his son Trent; his daughter-in-law Kim McCraw; his grandchildren, Russell McCraw, Ethan Deal and Imbri Pierson; his great grandchild Hartley McCraw; and his siblings, Joe McCrary, Wayne McCrary (Ruth), Lois Kelley, Linda Taylor (Rick), Ellen McManus and Stella Jones (Stanley). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Moody-Connolly Funeral Home (181 S Caldwell St, Brevard, NC 28712).
