She is survived by: her husband John Edwin Mims, Jr.; her daughter Jonlyn Brooke Mims Owen (Brandon) of Charlotte; and her brothers, Wayne Pressley (Dawn) of Chapel Hill and Jeff Pressley (Tammy) of Brevard.

She loved traditional flowers at funerals, however memorials may also be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Charlotte Region https://www.hpccr.org.
