Susan’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas W. Mahan of Brevard; and her daughter Lisa Petersen Cummings. She is survived by: her son Albert J. Petersen, III of Boulder, CO; and her stepchildren, Maureen Mahan Copelof of Brevard and Thomas Brendan Mahan of Canada. She is also survived by three grandchildren and a great grandson.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the College Walk Auditorium (100 College View Ct, Brevard, NC 28712).
