He was predeceased by: his parents, Troy Owen and Lillie Mae Owen; his wife Nancy Owen; his brother Donald Owen; and his son-in-law Michael McGee.
He is survived by: his children, Angie McGee-Bryson Jeff of Brevard and Brandon Brooke Owen of Charlotte; his granddaughters, Megan McGee Justin Hoots of Hendersonville and Lauren McGee; his stepgranddaughter Keri Brandon Holden; his great grandchildren, Finnley, Owen Hoots, Brayden, Bryson Holden and Riverlee Holden; and his sisters, Patricia Ann Ben Galloway, Barbara Whitmire, Marcella Pope, Lucille Roger Gillespie and Nancy Robert Crane. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and many other family members.
