It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barry Nelson Dowdy of Broadway, North Carolina, who passed away on July 26, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Carson Dowdy. He is survived by: his mother Dorothy "Dot" Eades Dowdy; his wife Beth Love Dowdy; his daughter Bree Dowdy Burgess (Alex) of Coleridge; and his sister Lynne Kelly (John) of Pinehurst.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home (600 W Main St, Sanford, NC 27332). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Alloway Cemetery (631 W 4th Ave, Red Springs, NC 28377).
