She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Bennett and Lula Bennett; and her husband Freeman Mason. She is survived by: her daughters, Lynda Mason Bryant and Susie Buchanan (Randy); her grandchildren, Chris Whitlow (Joyce) and Tabitha Whitlow; her great grandchildren, Mason Whitlow, Nathaniel Whitlow, Autumn Bell (Aaron), Ethan Martin, Brook Magill (Travis), Michaela Bardwell (Joe) and Catheryne Truitt (JT); and her great great grandchildren, Addison, Chance, Isabella, Aubrey, Travis, Axel, Knox, Elliott and Charlotte. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 3:45 PM at the Spring Hill United Methodist Church (2741 Cool Springs Rd, Broadway, NC 27546). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Fellowship Hall.
