With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maxine Patterson Upchurch of Broadway, North Carolina, who passed away on June 15, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Taft Patterson and Ilene Patterson; her husband Charles; her daughters, Donna U. Patterson and Melanie U. McLeod; her grandson Charles Marcus Patterson; and her sister Yvonne Patterson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Thomas (Randy) of Lillington, Charlene Harrington (Randy) of Broadway, Paula Arnold of Southport and Jennifer Blalock (Larry Joe) of Broadway; and her siblings, Bud Patterson, Gladys Cummings and Shelby Taylor. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren.
