It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Poe of Broadway, North Carolina, who passed away on October 1, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Michael leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Reid Monroe Poe and Mary Joyce Kelly Poe; his wife Donna McNeill Poe; and his daughter Candace Poe Blackburn. He is survived by: his son Matthew Dean Poe of Broadway; his grandchildren, Carson Edward Blackburn and Logan Michael Blackburn; and his son-in-law Paul Blackburn.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mt. Pisgah Presbyterian Church (2300 Mt Pisgah Church Rd, Broadway, NC 27505). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
