He was predeceased by : his parents, Willie Dexton McGee and Iris Hayes McGee; and his brother William Lloyd McGee. He is survived by : his sisters, Alice Smith (Sammy) and Tina Eckenrode (Kenneth); his nieces, Mandy Smith of Smithfield, Casie Goode of Holly Springs and Jessie Eckenrode of Lillington; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Samuel Goode of Holly Springs, Smith Goode of Holly Springs, Madison Miller of Raleigh and Maisy Miller of Smithfield; and his granddaughter Whitney Hines of Sanford.
