She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Hal Steelman and Rachel Sue Glass Steelman; her husband Kenneth W. Bryson, Sr.; and her brothers, Phil, Ken, Thomas and Gwyn Steelman.

She is survived by: her children, Beth Cable (Wes) of Browns Summit, NC and Eagean "Buddy" Bryson of Davenport; her grandchildren, Luke (Kamryn), Claire, Brock and Colby Cable; her great grandchild Tucker; and her brothers, Bobby and Perry Steelman. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to 4-H of Rockingham County and to The Dancing Goat of Reidsville.
